Ralph W. Custer

Ralph W. Custer, 83, of Worthington died Sunday in the Kittanning Care Center.

He was born Jan. 7, 1933, in New Parrish, Pa., to the late Charles and Rosie (Felix) Custer.

Ralph formerly owned the Worthington Garage, where he was an inspection mechanic. He also was a farmer.

He was a U.S. Army veteran serving during the Korean War. Ralph was a member of the Worthington Presbyterian Church. He enjoyed hunting, canning, yard work and especially gardening. He also loved spending time with his grandkids.

Ralph leaves behind his wife of 54 years, Ann Shaffer Custer; his daughter, Suzan Tarr and her husband, Richard, of Worthington; his daughter, Michelle Norman of New Jersey; five grandchildren, Kaitlyn Isaacson and her husband, Jeremy, Sara Tarr, Ricky Tarr and his wife, Reba, Nick Custer and his wife, Stephanie, and Zachary Custer; one great-granddaughter, Belle Isaacson; and one brother, Douglas Custer of Shellsburg, Pa.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Nathan Custer, one brother; and three sisters.

CUSTER — There will be no viewing for Ralph W. Custer, who died Sunday, Oct. 23, 2016, and private services will be held. Burial will be at the Worthington Presbyterian Cemetery.Arrangements have been entrusted to the F.
