Michael John Collins

Michael John Collins, 51, died suddenly Sept. 20 at his home in Chula Vista, Calif.

Born Oct. 30, 1964, in Butler, he was the son of the late John R. Collins and Helen Madden Collins.

Mike graduated from Butler High School and proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps. Afterward, he remained in the San Diego area, where he worked as a loan officer and sales representative. He enjoyed spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Diana Jaime, who he married Nov. 3, 2007, his stepson, Inakie Jaime, and his son, Giancarlo Collins, all of Chula Vista, Calif.; four sisters, Marcia Collins and Ellie Spangler of LaGrande, Ore., Anne Shipley of Kansas City, Mo., and Jane (Jon) Zavacky of Butler; three brothers, Vincent (Mimi) Collins of Annville, Pa., Stephen (Sherry) Collins of Cranberry Township and Phillip (Lorraine) Collins of Sterling, Va.; and many nieces and nephews.

COLLINS — A memorial service for Michael John Collins, who died Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2016, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, 128 N. McKean St., Butler.
