ADAMS TWP — A 17-year-old girl driving south on Mars-Evans City Road flipped her vehicle on the road Friday around 9:20 p.m., according to Adams Township Fire Chief Bill Hayes.

The girl, whom police did not identify, was driving when she hit a parked car on the side of the road at 1242 Mars-Evans City Road. Her car rolled over and came to a stop. Emergency responders were able to free her from the vehicle. She suffered injuries and was transported to a hospital by Quality Ambulance.

“I didn’t see anything that led me to believe that it was life-threatening,” Hayes said.

The parked car did not need towed, though the woman’s car, a Honda Civic, did. The road was closed for 40 minutes while police waited for the tow truck.

The Callery Volunteer Fire Department, Adams Township Fire Department and Adams Township police responded.
