Chicora church plans holiday sale CHICORA — Chicora United Methodist Church 201 Central Ave., will host the annual Christmas in Chicora 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday and Saturday.It will feature Christmas crafts, candies, clothing and baked goods. Lunch also will be sold.The church will combine its crèche display with the Christmas event.

Fall craft show returns to MarsADAMS TWP — The 34th annual Mars Fall Craft Show will welcome more than 250 crafters to Mars High School, 520 Route 228, and Mars Middle School, 1775 Three Degree Road, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. The entry fee will include both schools.Merchandise and crafts will be available. Food vendors will include the Mars Fightin’ Planets Marching Band Boosters and other groups.Parking will be at the high school and middle school. Spillover parking will be at the primary center, 547 Route 228, and the elementary school, 549 Route 228. There will be shuttles between schools.The show benefits the high school’s American Field Services/Mars International Student Association Club.The proceeds help students attend high schools overseas, assist families hosting foreign students and provide scholarships for club members.

Society readies house tourZELIENOPLE — The Zelienople Historical Society’s annual Christmas Home Tour will be start at 9 a.m. Dec. 3 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 215 N. Main St. The tour will include 10 homes in the area.After the tour, lunch will be served at the church, and door prizes donated by local merchants will be awarded. There also will be a drawing for an Amish quilt.Tickets are on sale at the historical society, 243 S.
