ADAMS TWP — Police say a Beaver County woman stole jewelry from a house that she had access to as an employee of a cleaning service.

Ashley L. Nestor, 29, of New Brighton is in the Butler County Prison on $20,000 bail after she was arrested Friday and charged with felony counts of theft, conspiracy and receiving stolen property.

Last week, a resident of Tamarack Drive reported a diamond engagement ring valued at $10,000 and a gold necklace valued at $1,000 had gone missing sometime between September and November, according to the criminal complaint.

The resident told police that employees of Extreme Housecleaning had access to the house during those months.

After talking with the owners of the cleaning service, police identified Nestor as a suspect. They also learned that her boyfriend Ryan L. Donaldson, 30, of Rochester, Beaver County had recently pawned several pieces of jewelry at a pawnshop in Rochester.

When interviewed by police, Nestor allegedly admitted to stealing from multiple homes. She signed a written statement.

Donaldson also was arrested and placed in the prison Friday on $20,000 bail. He faces felony receiving stolen property and conspiracy charges. He also provided a written statement allegedly saying that he pawned the items and knew that they were stolen.

Police instructed the pawnshop to hold the items that Donaldson had pawned, though the diamond ring had already been stripped down and sold.

Donaldson and Nestor are scheduled to appear in Evans City district court on Nov. 22.

Donaldson and Nestor also are under investigation for an alleged theft in Cranberry Township that the cleaning service reported to the Adams police. No charges have been filed by Cranberry police.
