About 15 children were on board when a school bus collided with a car at Morton and Muntz avenues.

A light blue Ford Contour was traveling south on Morton Avenue when a Valley Lines school bus — number 228 — attempted to make a right turn from Muntz Avenue to Morton Avenue at approximately 8:30 a.m.

No injuries were reported.

A firefighter at the scene said there were 14 or 15 elementary school children on board, but he didn’t know where the bus was headed.

The man driving the light blue Ford Contour had two passengers, his fiance and 2-year-old daughter.

An official from the Butler City Police described it as a “minor accident.”

The Contour had some front end damage.

A portion of Morton Avenue was temporarily closed.

Valley Lines officials weren’t immediately available for comment.
