Twyla M. Heller
Twyla M. Heller, 84, of Eau Claire passed away early Monday morning at Butler Memorial Hospital, after a sudden illness.
She was born April 13, 1932, in Argentine, Pa., to the late John Burk and Amanda Young. Twyla was Protestant.
In her early years, Twyla worked for the former Murphy's Dept. Store in Franklin, as well as being a waitress and cook for a number of years. Twyla then started a long and distinguished career as a bus driver which spanned more than 48 years, primarily with the A-C Valley School District. Twyla was quite fond of the fact that she had bussed several generations of the same family over those almost five decades. Twyla also was a former member of the Eau Claire Volunteer Fire Department.
She was married to the late Kenneth Heller on Aug. 18, 1956. He preceded her in death Jan. 7, 2008.
Twyla is survived by one son, Ken (Jill) Heller of Eau Claire. She also is survived by her dog, Zane, and her cat, Nicki.
HELLER — Friends of Twyla M. Heller, who died Monday, Oct. 10, 2016, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the H. Jack Buzard Funeral Home, 201 S. Washington St., Eau Claire.
