Betty Atkinson
Betty J. Kepple Atkinson, 92, of Cabot, passed away Thursday at the Good Samaritan Hospice at Concordia.
She was born March 7, 1924, in Fairview Township to the late Alfred W. Kepple and the late Ethel A. Seybert Kepple.
Betty was a member of Whitestown Road Baptist Church. She attended the Butler Business School and later became a medical secretary for the VA Butler Healthcare for more than 30 years. Betty was a member of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees and a former member of Tanglewood Center.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews; several great-nieces and great-nephews; and loving friends, Ray Johnston and his wife, Edie, of Renfrew, and Rev. Steve K. Crumpler and his wife, Sophie, of London, Ky.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William J. Atkinson, who she married on June 24, 1948, and who passed away May 3, 1988; and one brother, Bert A. Kepple.
ATKINSON — Friends of Betty J. Kepple Atkinson, who passed away Thursday, Oct. 6, 2016, will be received from 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday at the Whitestown Road Baptist Church, 409 Whitestown Road.
Funeral services will be immediately following at noon Tuesday at the Whitestown Road Baptist Church, with her former pastor Rev. Steve K. Crumpler and Rev. Bob Hurd of the Whitestown Baptist Church officiating.
Burial will be in the Butler County Memorial Park.
Arrangements are being handled by the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are requested to Whitestown Road Baptist Church, 409 Whitestown Road, Butler, PA 16001.
