Evelyn Fern Swim McBride
Evelyn Fern Swim McBride, 88, of Valencia passed away Monday.
Born July 26, 1928, in Pocahontas, Va., she was the daughter of the late Crockett Swim and Lilly Crouse Swim. She also was preceded in death by three brothers, two sisters, four half-brothers and five half- sisters.
She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Ralph B. McBride; six children, Linda Shaffer of Slippery Rock, Betty Lubbert of Valencia, Sharon (Richard) Garver of Butler, Ralph E. McBride of Valencia, Harry McBride of Valencia and Annie (James) King of Callery; and one sister, Dorothy Swim Dawson, 90, of Portsmouth, Va. She also is survived by 12 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and many chosen children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
MCBRIDE — The family of Evelyn Fern Swim McBride, who died Monday, Oct. 3, 2016, will welcome friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Schellhaas Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 5864 Heckert Road, Bakerstown.Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Glade Run United Presbyterian Church, 1091 Pittsburgh Road, Valencia, with the Rev. Greg Wiest and the Rev. Dan Turney, pastor, officiating.
