Larry A. Russo, 68, of Butler passed away Thursday at the VNA Inpatient Hospice in Butler.

Born Nov. 27, 1947, in Butler, he was a son of the late William and Mary Bumbico Russo.

He worked in the kitchen area for the VA Medical Center in Butler.

He was a member of St. Michael Roman Catholic Church in Butler and was a veteran of the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed playing golf and fishing.

Surviving are his brother, William Russo of Rochester, Pa.; his sister, Amelia Carothers of Midland, Pa.; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Frances McCloskey.

RUSSO — Friends of Larry A. Russo, who died Thursday, Sept. 29, 2016, will be received from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler. A blessing service will be at 8 p.m. Tuesday from the funeral home.
