BUTLER TWP — An excavator tipped over this afternoon as it was unloaded from a trailer.

Two men from the Butler Township Road Department were unloading the excavator along Dutchtown Road, when the machine slid off the side of the trailer because the excavator's bucket was swung to the side.

Bob Henry, one of the two men, was inside the excavator when this happened, but reported no injuries.

A witness called 911 around noon, and Butler Township Police responded and offered to direct traffic if needed.

The crew brought the excavator to Dutchtown Road to replace a pipeline.

The men hope to have the excavator upright soon.
