Ronald J. Young

Ronald J. Young, 85, of Butler passed away Friday at his home.

Born Jan. 24, 1931, in Butler, he was a son of the late Merle C. Young and Grace C. Higgins Young.

Ron was employed for 40 years as a roll grinder at Butler Armco.

He was a graduate of Butler High School, Class of 1949.

Ron was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the U.S. Air Force.

He was a life member of the Knights of Columbus. He also was a member of the American Legion Post 117, the Knights of Columbus Golf League and the Armco Golf League.

Ron is survived by his wife, Shirley E. Sank Young; two sons, Pat Young, of Butler and Michael J. Young, of Essex, Mass.; one brother, Gerald M. Young and his wife, Sue, of Land O'Lakes, Fla.; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

YOUNG — There will be no visitation for Ronald J. Young, who died Friday, Sept. 16, 2016.Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum with Deacon Mitch Natali officiating.Burial will take place at Calvary Cemetery.
