Carol L. McCandless
Carol L. McCandless, 76, of Harmony, Lancaster Township, died Friday evening at the Butler VNA Inpatient Hospice.
Born Nov. 10, 1939, in Mars, she was the daughter of the late Lewis G. and Francis M. Harris McCandless.
Carol had been a custodian for E.B. Peffer Co. in Zelienople.
She was a member of the Old Union Presbyterian Church and enjoyed bowling and the occasional casino trips.
Surviving are her husband, William H. “Snaz” McCandless, whom she married Dec. 30, 1959; one daughter, Marsha McCandless of Harmony; two sons, Bradley (Darcie) McCandless of Evans City and Craig (Linda) McCandless of Gibsonia; one daughter-in-law, Stacy McCandless of Evans City; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one son, Jeffrey McCandless; four sisters, Dolores Nelson, A. Pauline Dunbar and Anna Faye and Madeline Mincer; and two brothers, Lewis Dean and Keith Mincer.

McCandless, who died Friday, Sept. 16, 2016, are invited to a memorial service at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Old Union Presbyterian Church, 200 Union Church Road, Mars, with the Rev.
