Dorris “Bud” A. Hay

Dorris “Bud” A. Hay, 80, of Saxonburg passed away Thursday at Saxony Health Center after a long battle with cancer.

Born Oct. 8, 1935, he was the son of the late Ralph and Alice Hay of Saxonburg.

Bud worked as a youngster at Jack's Ford in Sarver and retired from Marburger Farm Dairy in Evans City after more than 30 years of service.

Bud is survived by two daughters, Barbara (Ray) Moreland-Put of Fountain, Colo., and Beverly (Oscar) Vahidi of Scottsdale, Ariz.; one son, Bobby (Angela) Hay of Heflin, Ala.; seven grandchildren, Ezra, Donna, Sarah, Alex, Andrea, Brandon and Kathryn; seven great-grandchildren, Saul, Susie, Anna, Josiah, Emma, Sheldon and Audra; two sisters, Margretta Frey of East Berlin, Pa., and Mildred Grey of Saxonburg; and one brother, James Hay of Alexandria, Va.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Caroline (Martsolf) Hay, in 2010.

HAY — Friends of Dorris “Bud” A. Hay, who died Thursday, Sept. 15, 2016, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. until the time of the service at 8 p.m. Saturday at Young Funeral Home, 127 W.
