Martha Jane Stanley
Martha Jane Stanley, 74, of Butler passed away Saturday at Butler Memorial Hospital.
She was born Nov. 30, 1941, in Springfield Township, Mercer County, the daughter of the late Charles and Helen Serwatka Mathieson.
Martha was a member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church. She enjoyed spending time at Conneaut Lake and with her family. She was a hard worker and owned her own cleaning business.
Surviving are three sisters, Dorothy Worek of New Castle, Joan McCandless of New Castle and Carol Gordon of New Castle; two brothers, Charles “Buddy” Mathieson of New Castle and James “Sonny” Mathieson of Mercer; several nieces and nephews; and one stepson, Jerry Stanley of Florida.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John L. Stanley; her son, John B. Stanley; and three sisters, Marie Mielcarek, Betty Grimm and Jean Gurgasz.
STANLEY — A memorial service for Martha Jane Stanley, who died Saturday, Sept. 10, 2016, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the Christ Lutheran Church, 1302 E.
