Alan C. Zediker
Alan C. Zediker, 59, of Oakland Township, died unexpectedly at his residence Tuesday.
He was born June 19, 1957, in Butler, a son of the late Walter Ralph and Charlotte Carroll Zediker Sr.
Alan was co-owner of his family's business, Hiland Golf Course, since 2001. He was a 1975 graduate of Butler Area High School and in 1979 earned a degree in business marketing from Clarion University.
He was a member of St. Wendelin Roman Catholic Church, the Butler Elks Lodge and the East Butler Firemen's Club.
A skilled golfer, he had played on the men's varsity golf team in high school and college. He played in the Thursday night Larry George/Monroe golf league and the Friday night Hiland golf league at his course.
He was a great fan of all the Pittsburgh professional sports teams. However, he most enjoyed being able to spend time with his daughter and was an especially loving father.
He is survived by his daughter, Taylor Zediker of Valencia; his sister and business partner, Sarah Zediker and her husband, Terry Rottman, of Butler; his former spouse, Joanne Hodge-Zediker of Valencia; and his niece, nephew and many cousins.
ZEDIKER — Friends of Alan C. Zediker, who died Tuesday, Sept. 13, 2016, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E.
