Mary C. “Cathy” Fair

Mary C. “Cathy” Fair, 73, of Butler died Tuesday morning at Concordia Lutheran Ministries in Cabot.

Born Feb. 7, 1943, in Butler, she was a daughter of the late Ralph A. Lang and Mary L. Fiscus Lang.

A homemaker and mother, Mary was a member of St. Fidelis Roman Catholic Church in Meridian and also the Deer Hunters Association in Harrisville. She enjoyed crocheting, camping, working with flowers and mostly enjoyed spoiling her dog, Maddie.

Surviving are her sons, William E. (Jean) Fair II of Butler and Kenneth P. (Karen Ann) Fair of Chicora; one daughter, Daelene (Wayne) Rodgers of Butler; two grandsons, Vincent (Melanie) Rodgers and Christopher Rodgers and his fiancée, Emily Bruce; one granddaughter, Kenzie Fair; one brother, Thomas A. (Ginny) Lang of Florida; and one sister, Joan (John) Boozel Sr. of Renfrew. She was expecting her first great-grandson in October.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William “Willy” Fair, who she married June 26, 1965. He died July 27, 2013.

FAIR — Friends of Mary C. “Cathy” Fair, who died Tuesday, Sept. 13, 2016, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler.A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Fidelis Roman Catholic Church, 125 Buttercup Road, Meridian.
