John Victor Sepich
John Victor Sepich, 72, of Appleton, Wis., passed away peacefully Friday at his home.
John was born Aug. 20, 1944, in Natrona Heights, the son of the late Joseph and Anna Vucjak Sepich.
Following his education, John started his career in baseball with the Appleton Foxes and played in the major leagues with the Baltimore Orioles.
After his baseball career, John moved back to Butler, where he worked in sales for Jacquin's Liquor until his retirement in 2006. He returned to Appleton following his retirement and loved spending time with his family and friends and was an avid golfer.
John is survived by his wife, Marian; five daughters, Salinn Sepich of Green Bay, Wis., Shannon (Dan) Hodgkiss of Chicora, Raquel Sepich of Appleton, Rana Kraft of Green Bay and Shana (Greg Juedes) Sepich of Kaukauna, Wis.; 12 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Joseph Sepich of Cabot and William (Brenda) Sepich of Saxonburg; one sister, Mildred (Howard) Coller of Cabot; and his beloved cat, Tanner.
John was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Mary Sepich Lubatti.
SEPICH — Per the wishes of John Victor Sepich, who died Friday, Sept. 9, 2016, no services will be conducted.There will be a gathering for family and friends from 4 to 9 p.m. Oct. 10 at Serventi's, 473 Airport Road, in John's hometown of Butler.In lieu of expression of sympathy, a donation to your local humane society would be appreciated, as John loved animals.The Valley Funeral Home, 2211 N. Richmond St., Appleton, Wis., handled the arrangements.
