Russell Kuriger III
Russell Kuriger III, 62, of Penn Avenue, Lyndora, died Sunday at UPMC Presbyterian in Pittsburgh.
Russell was born Jan. 21, 1954, in Butler. He was the son of Russell K. Jr. and Mary Heemer Kuriger.
He was married Nov. 25, 1978, at St. Mark Lutheran Church to the former Sandra Fox.
He was a graduate of Butler High School and was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Butler. Russell enjoyed collecting coins. He was an avid Steelers fan and enjoyed the company of his kids and grandchildren.
He had been employed as a comanager at Friedman's in Butler.
Russell is survived by his wife, Sandra “Sandy” Fox Kuriger, who is a waitress at Roxy's Diner. Also surviving are three sons, Bradley Russell Kuriger, Bryan Nicholas Kuriger and his wife, Karen, and Christopher Michael Kuriger, all of Butler; 10 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one sister, Barbara Karenbauer of Chicora; and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
KURIGER — Friends of Russell Kuriger III, who died Sunday, Sept. 11, 2016, will be received from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Hile Funeral Home of Chicora, 339 Chicora Fenelton Road, Chicora.A funeral service will follow at 8 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev.
