Charles P. “Pat” Collins

Charles P. “Pat” Collins, 74, of 23 Church St., Lewis Run, Pa., kicked in the pearly gates Friday at the Pavilion at BRMC.

Born Oct. 28, 1941, in Butler, he was a son of the late Arthur and Irene Gillman Collins.

On June 18, 1977, he married Linda Ream Collins, who survives.

A graduate of Butler High School, he enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps on April 29, 1960, and was honorably discharged Feb. 2, 1961.

He was a truck driver for several local companies and retired in 2005.

He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He most especially enjoyed chopping wood.

He was quoted as saying that Ted Nugent was an amateur. He liked John Wayne, Clint Eastwood and Hank Williams, but “not that Jr. Wimp.” Chuck Norris didn't do all the things Pat did.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three children, Jason (Tiffany) Collins of Wexford and Tim Collins and Becky (Mark) Kerner, both of Butler; two stepchildren, Denise Douthit of Lewis Run, Pa., and Steve (Kathy) Livingston of Olean, N.Y.; four grandchildren; six stepgrandchildren; one great-grandchild; one great-stepgrandchild; four sisters, Carol Collins of Butler, Mary Hoffman of Pittsburgh, Deb (Richard) Moran and Sue Friez, both of Butler; two brothers, Ron Collins and Michael (Eileen) Collins, both of Butler; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; and one great-great-nephew.

COLLINS — At the request of Charles P. “Pat” Collins, who died Friday, Sept. 9, 2016, there will be no visitation or funeral services.Memorial contributions, if desired, may be made to the American Cancer Society, the Make-A-Wish Foundation or a charity of the donor's choice.Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Bradford, Pa.Online condolences may be made at www.hollenbeckcahill.com.
