Rock gives up late goal in 2-1 loss
Slippery Rock University allowed a goal in the final minute of regulation in a 2-1 loss to host Shippensburg in women's field hockey play on Saturday.
The Rock (4-8, 1-4) had tied the game at 1-1 with Savanna Robinson's tally early in the second period on an assist from Renee Rosenblum.
SRU goalkeeper Nicole Bream had seven saves in defeat.

After a scoreless first quarter for both teams, host Thomas More outscored Grove City 35-7 in the second period and cruised to a 70-20 victory.
Wolverines' quarterback Caleb Jakiel completed 17 of 32 passes for 204 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions.
Nick Ponikvar tallied five receptions for 90 yards and two scores while Gabe Greco had six catches for 57 yards and a touchdown.
