Mary L. Jackson
Mary L. Jackson, 75, of Butler passed away Friday at Butler Memorial Hospital.
She was born March 20, 1941, in Shirleysburg, Pa., the daughter of the late Joseph and Grace Winnick Newman.
She had been a nurse's aide at West Penn Hospital in Pittsburgh and had raised her six children on her own. Mary enjoyed fishing and cooking.
Surviving are her daughters, Darlenia (Dave) Miller of Butler and Cheryl Dague of Aliquippa; her sons, Charles (Patty) Shreve of Pittsburgh, Greg (Cindy) Shreve of Harrisville, Brian (Melissa) Shreve of Parker and Doug (Lillian) Shreve of Bruin; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her sister, Alda Powell of McKeesport; and her brother, Ray Newman of Florida.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jack Gagen; and her son, Paul E. Shreve.
