Stella Evans Flick, 89, of Butler passed away Friday at the VNA Inpatient Hospice.

She was born June 24, 1927, in Raymondville, Texas, to the late Edward Evans and Estella Curry Evans. Stella worked for several years as a waitress and hostess for the Butler Country Club.

Stella enjoyed cooking, crocheting and golfing.

Stella is survived by two sons, Robert Flick and his wife, Barbara, of Butler and Donald Flick and his wife, Judith, of Butler; six grandchildren, Tracy Minton, Jeannine Carter, Karey Day, William Flick, Dana Flick and his wife, Kristy, and Timothy Flick; 10 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Grace Benes of Port Lavaca, Texas, and Lena Core of Kingsville, Texas.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Flick, who she married Aug. 12, 1944 and who died Nov. 20, 2010; one son, Edward Flick; two sisters, Anna Leonard and Margaret Core; and one brother, Robert Evans.
