Anna “Isabelle” Grossman

Anna “Isabelle” Grossman, 86, of West Mercer Street, Harrisville, passed away Thursday at Trinity Living Center.

Isabelle was born in Forestville on Jan. 23, 1930, to the late Derwood H. Bell and Linnie J. Hockenberry.

On Nov. 18, 1949, Isabelle married her husband, Humes A. Grossman Sr., who preceded her in death in 2012. She was a homemaker and loved taking care of her children. She loved to crochet and sew. She spent hours outdoors gardening and taking care of her flowers. Isabelle especially loved her grandchildren. She was a member of the Methodist Church for nearly 40 years.

Isabelle is survived by a daughter, Lisa E. Weaver and her husband, Boe, of Stoneboro, Pa., four sons, Humes A. Grossman Jr. and his wife, Marsha, of Ruston, La., Richard C. Grossman and his wife, Sandy, of Barkeyville, Pa., Timothy L. Grossman and his wife, Carla, of Waynesburg, Ohio, and Brian K. Grossman and his wife, Kim, of Harrisville; 15 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

She is also survived by a brother, Ronald Bell of Youngsville, Pa.; two sisters, Ruth Relfe of DeLand, Fla., and Donna Kelly of Franklin, and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Isabelle was preceded in death by twin infant sons, five sisters and one brother.

GROSSMAN — Friends of Anna “Isabelle” Grossman, who passed away Thursday, Aug. 25, 2016, are invited to West Unity Community Church, 400 Unity Road, Harrisville, from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday.A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Sept. 3, at the church.Arrangements have been entrusted to Jamison Funeral Home.Online condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.jamisonfuneralhome.com.
