Rock women win, 1-0

Andrea Felix scored her first goal of the season, a tally just 16 seconds into the second half, as the Slippery Rock University women's soccer team defeated visiting Mansfield 1-0 on Saturday.

Lynn Neef assisted the game's lone goal.

Goalkeeper Kylie Downs stopped a career-high six shots for SRU (4-4, 4-2).

Ethan Augustin scored in the 47th minute, breaking a 1-all tie and lifting The Rock to a 2-1 victory over Wheeling Jesuit.

Jacob Thiel scored earlier for SRU (2-4-1).

Jonathan Sharp stopped four shots for the win.

Megan McKay scored two goals, but SRU (3-5, 0-1) dropped its PSAC opener, a 4-2 setback to West Chester.

Grove City was outscored 26-9 in the third quarter of Saturday's 57-32 loss to St. Vincent in Latrobe.

Wolverine running back Wesley Schools rushed for 236 yards and three touchdowns and quarterback Brett Laffoon completed 18 of 35 passes for 198 yards, one touchdown and one interception.

GCC (0-4, 0-2) will host Waynesburg on Saturday.
