Billie Myers Jr., 85, of Blairsville, Pa., formerly of Sarver, passed away peacefully Saturday at his daughter's home.

Mr. Myers was born March 12, 1931, in Hyde Park, Pa. He was the son of the late Sarah (Wiles) and William H. Myers Sr.

Billie worked throughout his life as an underground coal miner, retiring from Beth-Energy in 1996.

He is survived by his wife, Florence A. (Smith) Myers; three sons, Ronald Heim of Floyd, Va., David Heim of Saxonburg and William (Denise) Myers of Sarver; and his daughter, Susan (Fred) Craig of Blairsville, Pa.

Billie also is survived by nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and his siblings, George Myers of Oklahoma, Henry Myers of Ohio and Barbara Flemm of Sarver.
