The Butler County Community College men’s golf team placed first out of five teams at the Penn State-New Kensington Invitational, held Tuesday at The Links at Spring Church.

The Pioneers finished with 331 total strokes, three better than Penn State-DuBois. Rounding out the field were Penn State-New Kensington (339), Penn State-Fayette (351) and Carlow (363).

Moniteau High School graduate Britton Simmons paced the victory with an 81, followed by Alex Witouski (82), Carmen Oliva (83) and Matt Benson (85).
