Jeffrey A. Stragand

Jeffrey A. Stragand, 61, of Seven Fields, passed away Friday in the comfort of his home.

Born Sept. 27, 1954, in West Mifflin, Pa., he was the son of the late Donald and Thelma (Daley) Stragand.

Jeff was a postal worker for 34 years at the USPS Bulk Mailing Center in Warrendale. He was an avid guitar player and golfer, and a founding member of the Artifacts band. He enjoyed fishing with his children, and more recently, his grandchildren. Jeff will be dearly missed and fondly remembered.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Rosemarie (Sorcio) Stragand; four children, Jason A. Stragand, Jarod P. Stragand and his fiancée, Stephanie, Jeremy S. Stragand and his wife, Chelsea, and Jonathan M. Stragand and his wife, Courtney; three stepchildren, Gary J. Palacios, Kami M. Palacios and Anthony Palacios; 12 grandchildren; his brother, Michael Stragand; four sisters, Iris Sliwinski, Donna Tack and her husband, Bill, Janet Painter, and Lisa Sterrett and her husband, Paul; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, coworkers and friends.

STRAGAND — Friends of Jeffrey A. Stragand, who passed away Friday, Aug. 19, 2016, will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday and again from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Boylan-Glenn-Kildoo Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 130 Wisconsin Ave., Cranberry Township.A funeral ceremony will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.He will be laid to rest at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Marshall Township.The family suggests that memorial donations be made in Jeff's honor to the UPMC Cancer Center, UPMC Cancer Pavilion, Suite 1B, 5150 Centre Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15232.Expressions of sympathy may be shared with Jeff's family at www.boylanfuneralservices.com.
