Eleanor Heidelberg

Eleanor L. Heidelberg, 90, of Mars died Aug. 6 at LAS St. John Specialty Care Center in Mars.

Born May 2, 1926 in Butler, she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Louisa Kummer.

Eleanor was a homemaker and artist who enjoyed painting on slate. She was a wonderful cook who always had her nails done and jewelry on.

Eleanor was a devout member of the Zelienople Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses, and many years ago, she was a full-time minister, sharing her beliefs about living on a paradise earth and resurrection of those in memorial tombs with ones she met in the preaching work.

She was preceded in death by her husband, David L. Heidelberg, who died March 1, 2010; and her siblings, Gilbert, Melvin, Ray, Louise, Nettie, Wilda and Ferne.

Surviving are her nieces and nephews; and her longtime friend and helper for over 55 years, Sarah Bick of Mars.

HEIDELBERG — Friends of Eleanor L. Heidelberg, who died Saturday, Aug. 6, 2016, are invited to a service at 4 p.m. Sept. 11 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 250 Evans Road, Zelienople.Arrangements are under the direction of the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, 238 Crowe Ave. Mars.Directions and condolences are available at www.mcdonald-aeberli.com.
