Irene M. Dunkle

Irene M. Dunkle, 89, of Butler passed away Wednesday at the Saxony Health Center in Saxonburg.

Born Aug. 8, 1927, in Lyndora, she was a daughter of the late Andrew and Wilma (Lawrence) Benko.

She was employed by the Century Link Telephone Co. as a sales representative. She retired in 1982 following 37 years service.

She was a member of St. John Byzantine Catholic Church in Lyndora. She was also a member of the Independent Pioneer Workers.

Surviving are her brother, Edward (Emily) Benko of Butler, and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter R. Dunkle; two sisters; and one brother.

DUNKLE — Friends of Irene M. Dunkle, who died Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2016, will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler. No service will follow.
