Max Kustugic
Max Kustugic, 90, of West Salem Township, Greenville, Pa., formerly of Zelienople, passed away Wednesday morning at St. Paul's.
He was born Feb. 4, 1926, in Zelienople, to Walter and Anna Galat Kustugic. Max was a 1944 graduate of Zelienople High School and served in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II from 1944 to 1946. He had been employed for 34 years as a quality control manager at Halstead Industries in Zelienople, retiring in 1984.
He was a member of the Zion's Reformed United Church of Christ in Greenville, and was formerly a member of St. Peter's Reformed Church and the American Legion in Zelienople.
His hobbies included hunting, fishing, traveling and golfing.
On June 30, 1951, he married the former Julia Vincze; she died May 13, 2010. He is also preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Helen Dunham, Mary Catarchio and Sonja Kasunick; and three brothers, Anthony Kustugic, Samuel Kustugic and George Kustugic.
KUSTUGIC — Services for Max Kustugic, who died Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2016, will be privately conducted Tuesday at St. Peter's Reformed Church Cemetery, Zelienople, with the Rev. Philip J. Garner, pastor of the Zion's Reformed United Church of Christ, Greenville, officiating.Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul's, 339 E.
