Robert G. Frederick

Robert G. Frederick, 95, of Cranberry Township passed away Wednesday at Good Samaritan Hospice in Wexford just two months short of his 96th birthday.

Born Oct. 7, 1920, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Elmer and Rose (Zibrat) Frederick.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 66 years, Dorothy A. (Barzen) Frederick, who he married on Dec. 25, 1941.

Bob was a member of the English Lutheran Church in Zelienople.

He proudly served our country in the United States Army during World War II.

He served in the Zelienople Rotary, and he coached the American Legion baseball team. He was also a member of multiple bowling teams in the area.

He worked for more than 30 years for Johns Manville, and started his own business as a tax consultant in Florida.

Bob was an avid fan of Pittsburgh sports teams and enjoyed attending the Pirates' spring training to make sure they were getting the right recruits. Above all, he treasured the time he spent with his family. Bob will be dearly missed and fondly remembered.
