James R. Alexander
James R. Alexander, 84, of Cranberry Township passed away July 31.
Born Sept. 17, 1931, in Bellevue, Pa., he was the son of William H. and Ida M. Alexander.
He is survived by his sons, Matthew L. (Kathy) of Plano, Texas, and Scott H. (Debbie) of San Diego; his brother, Dr. William N. Alexander (Lorrie) and his sister, Norma Olson. He had five grandsons, William, Robert, Christian, Danny and Andrew.
He was preceded in death by his wife of nearly 50 years, Janis Rae; an infant son, Thomas James; and his sister, Martha J. Nohe.
He was a longtime member of the Dutilh United Methodist Church. He was an Air Force veteran of the Korean and Vietnam wars. He served 26 months in Japan and Korea during the Korean War as an aviation mechanic and crew chief. In the late 1960s and early 1970s as a flight engineer, he flew in and out of Vietnam.

Alexander, who died on Sunday, July 31, 2016, will be scheduled for some time in September at the Dutilh United Methodist Church in Cranberry Township.Arrangements have been entrusted to the H.P.
