Emil C. Turner

Emil C. “Chub” Turner, 75, of Evans City passed away Monday at the Good Samaritan Hospice in Wexford.

Born Nov. 2, 1940, in Ellwood City, he was the son of the late George and Hilda (Myers) Turner.

Emil enjoyed going to car shows and loved his 1950 Ford.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his beloved wife, Phyllis Choura Turner of Evans City; his son, Todd Turner of Evans City; his daughters, Tiffany (Vince) Wells of Evans City, Tamara Giulianelli of Pittsburgh and Tracy Turner of Syracuse, N.Y.; 12 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; his brother-in-law and best friend, Charles “Chick” Choura and his wife, Barbara; and several nieces and a nephew.

In addition to his parents, Emil was preceded in death by his brother, Calvin Turner; his grandson, Erin Turner-Schaefer, who passed away Dec. 11, 2005; his granddaughter, Kelsey Turner, who passed away May 28, 2016; and his mini Dachshund, Zoe, who passed away July 1, 2016.
