Martha P. Leise
Martha P. Leise, 89, formerly of Hadley, Sandy Creek Township, passed away at 12:30 a.m. Sunday at the Paramount Senior Living Center at Cranberry.
Martha was born Sept. 3, 1926, in Butler, a daughter of the late Carl O. and Ada (VanDyke) Bish. On July 29, 1959, she married the former Hope W. Leise, who preceded her in death Jan. 9, 2010.
She was a homemaker and had assisted in the operation of the family farm in Sandy Creek Township.
She is survived by her brother, Maurice “Pete” Bish of Butler; three sons, David Q. Barnhart of Greenville, Peter W. Leise of Fredonia and Phillip D. Leise and his wife, Kathy, of Hadley; her daughter, Kim Barnhart of Crescent; nine grandchildren, Stephanie, Haley and Amanda Barnhart, Matthew, Joel and Rebekah Leise, Nicholas and Gregory Leise, and Sarah Joy Stallsmith; and one great-grandson, Maximo Juarez.
In addition to her husband, Martha was preceded in death by her parents, six siblings, one daughter, two daughters-in-law and one son-in-law.
Leise — A memorial service for Martha P. Leise, who died Sunday, July 24, 2016, will be at 12:15 p.m. Sunday at the North Salem United Methodist Church, 352 Quinter Road, Hadley, with the Rev. Timothy Bowser, pastor of the church, officiating.The family has suggested that memorial tributes may be made to either the North Salem United Methodist Church, 352 Quinter Road, Hadley, PA 16130 or to the Alzheimer's Association at alz.org.Arrangements have been entrusted to the care and directions of the Robert L.
