Original judge in PSU case dies
HARRISBURG — The judge who originally handled the criminal case against three Penn State administrators charged with covering up child-sex complaints about Jerry Sandusky has died.
Dauphin County Judge Todd Hoover had retired earlier this year.
President Judge Richard Lewis announced that Hoover died Wednesday morning after a long illness. He was 61.
Hoover also handled the public corruption trial of former state House Speaker Bill DeWeese.
