Janet Wilda Peters

Janet Wilda Peters, 92, of Zelienople passed away Saturday at the Passavant Retirement Community.

Born May 24, 1924, in Connoquenessing, she was the daughter of the late Earl and Mary (Hicks) Young.

Janet previously attended St. Peter's Reformed Church in Zelienople.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her children, Linda Willis and her husband, Jay, of Oley, Pa., and Windsor, S.C., and Ronald Smith of Las Vegas, Nev.; her twin sister, Jean Ripper and her husband, Donald, of Zelienople; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Paul Peters, who died in 1982; her brother, Henry Young; and her sisters, Helen Verner and Thelma McCabe.

PETERS — A memorial service for Janet Wilda Peters, who died Saturday, July 16, 2016, will be in Janet's honor at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Seaman Memorial Chapel at the Passavant Retirement Community, 105 Burgess Drive, Zelienople, with the Rev. John Hoogerbrugge officiating.She will be laid to rest at the Sylvania Hills Memorial Park.In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Boylan Funeral Home, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople.Expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family at www.boylanfuneralservices.com.
