Man accused of driving buggy drunk

ROSSITER — State police have charged a Pennsylvania Amish man with driving his buggy while drunk, with two friends on its roof.

Police also cited Robert Miller, 18, of Punxsutawney and four friends, who range in age from 16 to 20, with underage drinking. The legal drinking age in Pennsylvania is 21.

State police announced the charges Wednesday, though they stem from an incident July 8 in Canoe Township, Indiana County.

Police say all five had been drinking and had alcoholic beverages with them. Online court records don’t list attorneys for the suspects.
