Dorothy G. Smullin of Zelienople, formerly of Glenshaw, went to be with her savior Jesus on Sunday.

She was the wife of the late Charles A. “Bud” Smullin. Dottie was a caring mom and a constant source of encouragement to her three sons and two “daughters,” Chuck and Gini, Bob and Lyn, and Jim.

As a grandmother she brought much joy to the lives of Becky (David) Dawson, Jeff (Jamie) Smullin, Christine (Shawn) Callander, David (Jenna) Smullin, Dan (Barb) Smullin and Amy (fiancé, Steve Boop) Smullin.

Great-grandma Dot loved Kennedy, Cohn, Brenna, Case, Ainsley, Ryan, Danny, Nathan, Ashley and Dylan dearly.

Dottie lived her 99 years with courage and enthusiasm. She loved her Lord, her family and her friends. Dottie was an active member of the Elfinwild Church and Community Bible Study. During the past years, she enjoyed the fellowship of many friends at the Passavant Retirement Community.

Dot was retired from the Shaler School District, where she was secretary at Rogers Elementary School for many years.

We thank God for Mom. Our lives have been forever impacted and enriched because of her life and example.

SMULLIN — Friends of Dorothy G. Smullin, who died Sunday, July 17, 2016, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday at the Bock Funeral Home, 1500 Mt. Royal Blvd., Glenshaw.A funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Elfinwild Presbyterian Church. Everyone is asked to please meet at the church. Burial will be at the Mt.
