Robert L. Sanich

Robert L. Sanich, 81, of Roseville, Pa., died Tuesday at ACMH Hospital.

Born April 15, 1935, in Roseville, he was the son of Anthony (Tony) and Nellie H. (Malec) Sanich.

Bob

married the former Patricia A. Schuette, and she survives.

A Karns City High School graduate, Bob found employment at Pullman Standard and later worked for Sprint in Butler.

A veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, Bob served as a corporal during the Korean War. He was a recipient of the National Defense Service Medal and the Navy Occupation Medal. He was a member of the American Legion Post 488 in Bradys Bend.

A member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Bob was an avid history reader. In his younger years, he loved hunting, farming, being outside and loved spending his life in Roseville. Bob could often be found outside sharing stories with his family and friends and spending time with his grandchildren and German Shepherds.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Sanich of Roseville; three daughters, Lisa Bainey of Austin, Pa., Julie McCrea of Butler and Antoinette Sanich (Michael Heilman) of Kittanning; and one son, Thomas (Lisa) Sanich of Roseville.

Bob also is survived by seven grandchildren, who were the light of his life, Katherine Kiefer, Ryan Bainey, Cristin McCrea, Laura McCrea, Hilary McCrea, Evan Heilman and Olivia Heilman; one great-grandchild, Raegyn Allshouse; and one sister, Katherine Haag of St. Charles, Mo.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and three brothers.

SANICH — Friends of Robert L. Sanich, who died Tuesday, July 12, 2016, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Buechele Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 707 Kellys Way, East Brady.A parish prayer service will be at 3 p.m. Sunday. An American Legion service will at 6 p.m. Sunday.A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church with the Rev.
