Officer Kristine Stevenson Bartman

Officer Kristine Stevenson Bartman

Officer Kristine Stevenson Bartman, affectionately known as “Sweet Pea” and “Booski,” 30, of Harmony, passed away Wednesday.

Born Jan. 2, 1986, in New Sewickley Township, she was the youngest child and only daughter of Kathy (Watson) Stevenson and referred to as “Sweet Pea” by her father, the late Lawrence Stevenson.

She graduated from Slippery Rock University as well as the Allegheny County Police Academy to pursue her dream of becoming a police officer.

Kristine had the ability to “light up a room” with her infectious smile and positive spirit. She dedicated so much of her time to fitness and nutrition that it was a natural transition when she and her husband became the proud owners of Rule 76 Fitness where they developed and implemented the “No excuses-play like a champion!” lifestyle. Kristine's athleticism, passion for fitness and her voice of reason were such a blessing to those that became a part of the Rule 76 Fitness family.

She was fearless in every way imaginable, and she loved riding her motorcycle every chance she had. An avid animal lover, she cared deeply for her three dogs, two of which were dachshunds and a rescue, Roxy, Vienna, and Alfred.

Her willingness to help others was quite admirable, and that gift extended into her role as an excellent police officer for the Evans City-Seven Fields Regional Police Department. Kristine always saw the good in everyone; that's who she was. Her sharpness and organizational skills also helped her professionally.

Kristine will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by those who had the honor of knowing and loving her.

In addition to her mother, she leaves behind to cherish her memory, her adoring husband and soul mate of three years, Zachary Bartman, who she married on May 11, 2013; three brothers, Mike Stevenson and his wife, Amy, Dan Stevenson and his wife, Maureen, and Matt Stevenson and his fiancée, Gretchen; parents-in-law, Mark and Nancy Bartman; sisters-in-law, Mary Bartman Christie and her husband, Alexx, and Ann Bartman Cook and her husband, Kevin; eight nieces and nephews who absolutely admired her, and numerous extended relatives and friends.

In addition to her father, Kristine was preceded in death by her brother, Dave Stevenson.
