'Microburst' hits northeast corner of county
Uprooted trees, damaged houses and loss of electric service followed a Thursday night storm that mainly struck the northeast corner of Butler.
National Weather service meteorologist Alicia Miller said the Bruin-Petrolia area appeared to be hit by a microburst of straight line winds between 6:45 and 7 p.m.
Officials say some roads in the Petrolia and Bruin area still are closed this morning and a couple hundred people still are without power. All customers area expected to be restored by 11 a.m.
