Thomas J. Polk

Thomas J. Polk, 77, of Slippery Rock passed away Thursday evening at his home.

Born Jan. 21, 1939, in McKees Rocks, he was the son of the late Anthony and Elizabeth Kurtz Polk.

He retired in 2005 from the Oxford Development Co., where he was a stationary engineer in commercial development.

He attended St. Christopher at the Lake Roman Catholic Church in Prospect.

He proudly served in the United States Army.

He is survived by his wife, Maryann McKenna Polk, who he married Sept. 18, 1965; his children, Thomas (Robyn) Polk and Robert (Shelly) Polk; and his four grandchildren, Gavin, Madison, Sidney and Maren.

POLK — The viewing for Thomas J. Polk, who died Thursday, July 7, 2016, will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Edward L. Raisley Funeral Home, 387 Main St., Prospect.The funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the St. Christopher at the Lake Roman Catholic Church, Prospect, with Rev. Joseph Feltz officiating.The family suggests Mass cards be given in memory of Thomas to the St. Christopher Catholic Church, 229 N.
