Neighbor extinguishes grease fire in kitchen
CRANBERRY TWP — A neighbor with a fire extinguisher quickly put out a grease fire in a home Monday night.
Firefighters were called to the house at 330 Friendship Lane about 7 p.m. for a report of a fire in the kitchen.
A neighbor across the street came to help with an extinguisher after he heard the two people in the house screaming for help.
The fire was put out and the damage was limited to just the kitchen stove, said Fire Chief Todd Rice of the Cranberry Township Volunteer Fire Company.
No was hurt, though firefighters stayed for about an hour to clear the house of smoke.
