Mars used a four-run sixth inning to topple Cranberry Township 6-4 in Game 3 of its Eagle County League baseball semifinal series Monday at Marburger Field.

The win completes the three-game sweep for Mars in the best-of-five series.

The decisive sixth frame included a two-run double from Bob Spithaler and a two-run single from Brendan Malone.

Spithaler added a solo home run earlier in the game.

Dave Coradi singled and homered for Cranberry (21-14).

Greg Frederick pitched a complete game with 10 strikeouts to earn the victory.

The six-time defending league champion, Mars (26-7) awaits the winner from the other series between Mars II and Zelienople.
