Howard Chester Fife of Orchard Road, New Wilmington, died at 8:20 p.m. Thursday at Kindred Hospital at Heritage Valley, Beaver. He was 75 years old.

Howard was born on Sept. 2, 1940, to Ralph Philip and Edna James Shingler Fife in Moon Township, Allegheny County. He married Donna Jean McIntire in 1959, and she preceded him in death on Aug. 1, 2004. Howard worked as a general contractor.

Survivors include two daughters, Teena Smithbauer and her husband, Steven, of Follansbee, W.Va. and Mary Fife and her fiancé, Hugh Luster, of New Wilmington; three sons, Howard Wayne Fife of New Brighton, Pa., Brian Fife and his wife, Becky, of Beaver, and Travis Fife and his wife, Pollie, of Butler; one brother, Ronnie Fife and his wife, Georgia; four sisters, Katherine, Marie, Wilma and Violet; 13 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents and wife, Howard was preceded in death by one son, Shane Fife, and one brother, Bucky Fife.

FIFE — Visitation for Howard Chester Fife, who died Thursday, July 7, 2016, will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., with a prayer service at 8 p.m. Sunday at the Smith Funeral Home, 310 W. Neshannock Ave., New Wilmington, PA 16142.
