Connie L. Wolford
Connie L. Wolford, 80, of Petrolia Street, Karns City, passed away early Friday morning at Sugar Creek Rest in Worthington.
Connie was born in Chicora on June 3, 1936. She was the daughter of the late Lawrence W. and Carrie M. Early Claypoole.
She was a 1954 graduate of Fairview Township Karns City High School.
Connie was a member of the Karns City United Methodist Church. She was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking, word search, playing cards and Yahtzee.
In her earlier years, Connie had worked at Uber's Clothing Store in Chicora.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy S. Wolford, who she married on Feb. 14, 1955.
Surviving are four children, Lawrence Wolford of Karns City, Robert Wolford and his wife, Sue, of Sarver, Marjorie Pennington and her husband, Larry, of Bruin, and Lee Ann Weiland and her companion, Brian Northime, of Chicora; seven grandchildren, Adrienne Harr, Glorianna Berry, Kayla Myrlie, Nichol Switzer, Jonathan Pennington, Jennifer Weiland and Patrick Weiland; seven great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; five step-great-grandchildren; three sisters, Sandra Lincoln of Chicora, Joyce Ciani and her husband, Bob, of Sarver, and Sue McCue of Chicora; a brother-in-law, Raymond Silvis of North Washington; and a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to her parents and husband, Connie was preceded in death by a sister, Jean Silvis, and a son-in-law, Paul Weiland.
WOLFORD — Friends of Connie L. Wolford, who died Friday, July 8, 2016, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Hile Funeral Home of Karns City, 128 Main St., Karns City.A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Brenda Reitler, pastor, officiating.
