Cody Herald and John Tavares each doubled, singled and drove in three runs as Mars downed Cranberry 11-6 Saturday in the second game of the team's best-of-five Eagle County League baseball semifinal series.

The win gives Mars a 2-0 series lead heading into the third game at 6 p.m. today at Marburger Field.

Matt Johnson added a double and a single and Dan Penberthy three hits for Mars.

Jim Devine picked up the win, striking out eight in seven innings.

Reed Tomlinson had a double, two singles and three RBI to lead Cranberry.
