Lottie Bergbigler
Lottie Bergbigler, 86, of Butler passed away at 10:20 a.m. Thursday at her home.
She was born Sept. 1, 1929, in Sligo, the daughter of the late Edward Peters and Lucinda (Henry) Peters Stewart.
She had worked at Concordia Lutheran Ministries and Fair Winds Manor as a nurse's aide until she injured her back. Then, she worked as a caregiver for several people in the area, one for 14 years.
She was a member of the Butler Wesleyan Methodist Church where she was the president of the Women Missionary Society.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her only daughter, Sherry Bergbigler of Butler, who was her caregiver and who was with her when she went to be with her Lord and Savior; and her sons, Richard of Eaton, Ohio, and John and Thomas of Butler.
Her 14 grandchildren also survive: Stacy, Christine, Dawn, Barbara, Sunshine, Joshua, Justin, Jeremy, Menisa, Jeanet, Eric, Kirk, James and Joseph. Lottie also had several great and great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Ralph Bergbigler, whom she married Feb. 1, 1946, and who passed away April 7 2014; her son, Harry Jr.; her brothers, Joseph, Lawrence, Ernest and Warren Peters; her sisters, Margaret Covert, Mary McNany and an infant sister, and her great-grandson, Little Richie.
BERGBIGLER — Friends of Lottie Bergbigler, who died Thursday, June 30, 2016, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Young Funeral Home, 127 W. Jefferson St.There will also be visitation at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Butler Wesleyan Methodist Church, 590 Protzman Road.
