BlueSox defeated by Kings
Butler’s quest for the Prospect League playoffs hit a big bump in Champion City Tuesday night.
The BlueSox fell behind 6-1 after three innings and couldn’t rally in a 9-3 loss to the Kings.
Butler (11-14) is now three games out in the East Division second-half standings.
Champion City (14-11) moved into first place with the win, a half-game in front of Kokomo and West Virginia, with less than a week remaining.
Tyler Sullivan had two hits for the BlueSox.
Shawn Holman picked up the loss. He settled down after the rough first three innings and went six, striking out three and walking two.
